well the hatch can pull 9k rpm all day now that i have my springs and retainers:hellyeah:. but i got it dynod and only put down 151/112tq :barf:. but the stock gsr integra map on the ecu was all jacked (rich till 7000 then leaning out at 7300-9k) i know i know.... boom, no lectures. so it looks like im getting a aem ems this week. shooting for 240 hp ( that aint shit compared to your 4g63 i know, but power to weight gents). i have a fiend thats dyno tuning my car for $60-hr. im still waiting to see one of you guys on the freeway and let you hear how annoying my vtec sounds:sneaky:. but i have orders to japan land so it looks like ill be picking up some cheap parts. i still want to chill somtime but its hard to get out when you have a newborn.

i miss my eclipse :(

but heres a teaser

My head studs need just as much torque as your car can throw down... ROFL Just messing with ya Owen, but seriously.

Let me know how long it takes for your buddy to get your car to even start after you get the AEM EMS installed, that software can do a lot IF you know how to use it. Your forgetting one thing in the power to weight equation, TRACTION...

:dsm:

What size do you need as they can easily be made at home depot

It's for the stock 14b. My o2 sensor seems to die so my low ft's are stuck at 139% I already replaced the sensor and I'm about to start checking the connecter and wiring.

Speed kills. If you want to live forever, drive a Honda.

hi, just wanted to say what's up. just moved to the dark side, coming from the scooby crowd. i just bought a 91 galant vr4 with a freshly built 6 bolt (stock).
just wondering if anyone can tune the e-manage that's currently installed? i might consider switching over the dsmlink though. currently have an hx35 waiting to go in :)

You'll like my new Suby hater stickers I just got in the mail then... STY? Just kidding man, welcome to dsm's though and maybe we'll see you around at racelegal?

I've never heard of anyone running e-Manage on their DSM, you might call Reese Tuning or GarageGT and see if they can tune it.

thanks for the welcome! i still have my 02 scooby - i love the car, but i felt it was time to move on. my scooby currently pushes about 320whp, running on alky injection, so it's no slouch. i'm trying to make the same if not more on my vr4, but i have to sort out some issues first. i'll check out garage gt or reese.

well hes working at shop up here and is running a ems on his turbo gsr hatch so we will see. one good thing about hon-duh is the price of after market parts. and im pretty sure i can smoke a stock gst spyder from a dig with 150hp ROFL but wait till i break 200 im gonna come after you corey:rolleyes:, yeah right. after i get back from oki ill be going with a turbo set up but for now i just want to squeese every hp n tq i can get out of it. eventually ill get another eclipse ( a 1st gen) but not for awhile.

wait till i break 200 im gonna come after you Corey.
My new cornfed setup put down 353 awhp a few weeks ago with my head lifting pushing coolant and my FMIC core leaking boost, that was only on 19psi since thats all my FMIC would hold to redline. I'm hoping once I get my built head on and my new FMIC setup 400 awhp will be easy day on 28psi, and so will Honda hatchbacks at the track... :rocks:

:dsm:

When you run 28 psi you won't need to take the seats off of it to race anymore. haha
Anyway, its been like a standstill once more with crickets chirping away lately waiting for stuff to happen. Feels like ive been dragging my feet very unmotivated lately = / maybe im just getting old

My bro's gsx got its first 5 galons of that corn starch thing and it pulls hard like with racefuel and best of all no knock even with the base tune. The talon is next, waiting on stuff to sell on ebay in order to get dsmlinkV3 and get it going. Im about to post more stuff for sale on ebay. Is it okay to sell that td05 hotside you sold me Corey? I just don't want you to see it up for sale when you need/could be using it since you gave me a good deal on it. let me know. CHeeeiiiaoooo !

That corn juice don't play around, you've just got to baby it around town to save the gas mileage... I just filled up and calculated 17.5 miles to the gallon. :rocks: Not bad for $2.49ga, especially now since 91oct is damn near $3.29ga last time I checked. :coy:

Dude, you sell that hotside for as much as someone will pay for it... No hard feelings. That things yours now and if you can make money on it, well thats how doing business works. I know its your stuff to sell so you do what you want but I know Alex and I have a system for selling stuff. We'll post our stuff up on tuners first trying to help the community, if nobody bites we craigslist it, then eBay the stuff as a last resort since hillbilly backyard racer buys that sh!t, USUALLY. :p

Well in a few weeks it won't be completely stock.

Since my engine crank walked... I had to do some searching. Found a red top 6 bolt that I am going to put in. Got it for 250 since dude was going overseas. Selling his 1G eclipse and this extra engine 8). I think this will be a good time to do some modifications especially since I am in no rush since I have my VW Jetta 2.Slow to drive around.

Are you running the e-manage blue or ultimate?

an sti just smoked my talon by a whole car from a 60 roll. fml. Really need that corn starch setup. All you need is 1000cc injectors minimum walbro 255 and dsmlink to push close to 400 wheel. The factory fuel lines and tank are good to go. My understanding is that instead of running ridiculous boost you run ridiculous timing without knock yielding more hp per lb of boost. The targeted stoichmetric ratio you tune for is different i believe is 9.7 .. well theres plenty of writing out there for me to regurgitate something like the following
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/tuning-engine-management/293501-my-new-e85-16g-setup.html

how hard is it to run corn juice they sell that stuff 1block away from my house??
Simply said, you need to supply enough fuel for the oxygen which entails some good tuning. E95 has helped put down some serious numbers compared to the lesser E85.

WOW... that sounds awsome. thx for the good advice, how safe is it?
Its not about "safe" its about convenience, and your a block from an E85 station so W.T.F. is the problem? You need 1000cc injectors and a wally 255 fp, unless you already have one? Its just a different fuel other than gasoline, safe really has nothing to do with it man.

E85 = 105oct and its good for the environment because its made from corn. You'll lose about 20% fuel efficiency which means gas mileage suffers a bit, but yours saving about $.75 a gallon too. It costs $2.49ga down here in SD right now and I get about 220-230 on 13 gallons.
Tuning E85 you run as much boost as your headgasket/bolts/bottom can take meaning if its stock headgasket/head bolts your gonna be at 23-25psi. You get your boost where you want it and then start tuning for the AFR reading you want, then advancing the timing when you get your AFR's. On E85 good AFR's look lean at 12.3 ~ 12.5:1 on the wideband but its safe on E85, and timing will be around 18*+ before you start seeing detonation.

91oct = 91oct and its bad for the environment, worse than ethanol is anyway. You'll get about 270 to a tank, atleast I was after I got my car tuned on my 660cc injectors and you'll spend $3.29 to $3.49 depending on where you fill up at.
Tuning 91oct SUCKS. You still get your boost to what the engines built for and then get your AFR's lined up. Because its 91oct they need to be RICH, usually around 10.8 ~ 11.1:1 and your timing advance won't be more than 13* usually. :notgood:

What does safe have to do with it? If anything E85 is safer than 91 because its better for the environment...

Yepppp! Unlock that power!

Is anyone going to RaceLegal tonight? I will be making my first appearance and hopefully running to get some numbers finally.

Ill be there but just for a minute to watch. A buddy off the ship, his name is Via, has a GS-T he wants to start mod'ing and isn't sure if he wants to run dsmlink. I told him I'd go to racelegal and show him what it looks like compared to an SAFC. Id run but my heads still lifting under any kind of boost, it sucks. Ive got the new valve cover in from powder coat though, it looks pretty sick. I know Alex is jealous... :f-u: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/appearance-interior-exterior/368600-powder-coated-valve-cover.html

That IS pretty sick man. It will really flow well with your car's "theme" hehe. Are you going with high-rev springs/retainers and raising your rev limiter? I figured you were going with the bells and whistles since you are dealing with the hassle of removing the head.

Hopefully I do not look like a 'tard all lost and shit hahah. I was surprised to see the "quickest ET" winners being 9's and whatnot. 8's should not be too bad and a high 7 is feasible with some badass launching off the line. Do you know if I will be allowed to fillup my meth tank when sitting on the side? I am bringing ~110oz of my homebrew.

The head build looks like this...
engnbldr SS valves & bronze valve guides, topline revised lifters, stock Evo IX beehive springs/retainers, supertech valve seals. Im getting the head cleaned, decked, 3 angle valve job, and of course the valve guides are getting pressed in. So I can raise the boost to 28-30lbs I got ARP head studs and a Mitsu composite headgasket I'll copperspray during the install. The only reason why I'd up my rev limiter to maybe 8k (from 7.5k) would be for launching now. I try to shift 200 rpm past my peak HP reading off the dyno, no sense wrapping it out to 10k when you stop making power at 7k ya know?

You can fill up your meth tank in the pits, I'm pretty sure you'll want to tell the tech inspector your running it though. He said E85 didn't require further inspection for obvious reasons, meth injection requires a bunch more to get teched in though. I don't know what kind of HP #'s your throwing down but the best advice I can give is don't be disappointed if you don't get the time you wanted. I always sandbag a bit going into the track if I just changed my setup and I expect to run faster, I still stay in the class I was before. If you think your cars fast enough to run low 8's then stay in the 9.0 to 9.5 class, I think its the 4XXX series numbers. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS run in the left track, never the right!!!! You'll get no traction on the right track and theres no room to brake on that side, I trap 90mph and I'm slamming on my brakes hard just so I don't go into the cones at the end of the track it sucks.

:dsm:

Yeah, I definitely understand. You gotta stay within your powerband. That sounds like some serious fun waiting to happen.

Thanks for the advice btw! I realize it is merely a parking lot, but it is all that we have =/ dammit... LOL!
