...the guy has a rear end off a 95 GSX thats got everything to do the awd swap (minus the tranny) he's selling cheap as hell to make room in his garage if your interested.

im flying home on the 30th and won't be back til the 6th so prob. that weekend ill get dans GSX down there so he can start taking off all the big stuff. then when he's ready for my car ill just take it down there and let him work his magic. from reading a bunch of posts on here it doesn't sound to hard of swap if you've got the right tools and a garage spot. i don't have tools beyond a metric socket set and some screwdrivers though and i have a spot on the street :notgood: ill be over at his place a lot though helping with things, trying to do as much as i can so i can get the car out on the street again. maybe if i finish at dans early ill call ya and i can help you do that last few things to get her running right!

Anyone know of a good paint shop in the 619?
My driver front tread came off and thrashed my fender, and now I have Z3 style to instal and paint.

Earl Sheib usually has some specials going on every month. I got my 1g painted a few years back for 500 billz, the 6 year warranty and looked amazing. I would recommend fixing the little dents elsewhere and just taking it to Earl Sheib for paint.

yeah should be around the same price. my brother's 1g just got painted a few months back with the black they had on the display test strip. here is a pic i have already uploaded <a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v617/nito2410/?action=view&current=DSC00104jioajfsos.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v617/nito2410/DSC00104jioajfsos.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> It looks really nice. Again just make sure the body work (dings) get done somwhere else and just let earl shleib deal with the paint. :thumb: The chula vista one off of broadway is the one i recomend since thats branch ive taken my dsms to get painted. You won't regret painting it, and after every wash you will be very very proud to see that new pain shine and smile like this :D

By any chance? Is that the awd talon that was for sale for 3100?

Where do you recommend getting the dings fixed?
 
you take it to earl sheib for body work too but since they have managed to forget to fix a ding or two before painting on my cars i wouldnt recomend their body shop ROFL but idk maybe they got new body shop personnel and could get a better combo deal?

i might have accidentally put up a pic of my black talon a while back when i was trying to sell my green one LOL
 
Hey whats up my name is George im from San Diego and im new to dsm tuners. i just bought my first 2 <br>dsm's one is a 99 eclipse gst and the other is 99 eclipse gs i got both of them because the guy traded the gst for a 03 neon that i had and then he sold me the gs for $1500. Dont know alot about cars but im learning. The gst has a few problems but nothing major. it needs a new<br> head gasket and it has an exhaust leak here are some picture of it tell me what you think about the cars.

wup up George looks like that gst needs some mclovin. How was the car diagnosed with a blown head gasket? I ask because there are symptoms that are similar to a blown head gasket you can get, like if you get a big enough boost leak or plug wires being bad or installed improperly (by the looks of the pic you should check that first). Check your engine's compression on each cylinder to ensure a blown H-Gasket. There is a handful of info here on dsmtuner, just search around and you will find lots of useful info. :thumb:
 
hey whats up Nito15 well when i got the car the guy told me the head gasket was blown and that if you drive the car for a while it turns off. tomorrow im going to check the compresion of each cylinder and see whats up hopefully i just have to change the head gasket.
hey does anyone know of any dyno shops ### i know theres one in santee but i think its only for AWD????

I wouldn't drive a car with a busted headgasket because it could damage the internals like the car that I sold recently. its a big :nono: Peices/fragments of head gasket got hot enough and melted onto the cylinder walls and ruined the cylinder walls, pistons, rings.. the whole block. :cry: So hopefully that is not the case with your engine. :thumb:

The one in santee is good. It is for 2 wheel drive only. I dont like it there cause the weather is hot. Dynomite dyno is good too and cooler there also. Just at dynomite loading the cars takes longer due to the dyno being on a ramp where as in santee it's built in the floor and you can just drive right up.
As for your car looks good. I would just recommend a cap for your overflow, route your plug wires the right way for a cleaner look. And that looks like thats not a stock turbo considering the j-pipe coming off of it. Do you know which turbo it has, if not maybe wanna ask. Maybe its a 14b or 16g..:thumb: And just noticed the way the direction the j-pipe is angled looks like you might have a front mount huh?:sneaky:

You forgot to tell him, if he doesn't have a maf-t he should recirculate :D.

Damn thats a rip off. I also live in chula vista but would rather go to dynomite dyno where its like $50 for 2 pulls with air fuel i believe. Some thing close like that. Theres other places that charge like $100 to $125 an hour to tune... not just 2 pulls.:nono:
 
if anyone needs to dyno their car i know a guy that use to work at garage gt tuning cars he is really good honestly a havent found anybody better than him just hit me up if you guys need a dyno

yea im going to go to autozone to buy a cap. its big 16g turbo and yea it has a fron mount:)

thanks man:) and yup its a 16g.what do you mean recirculate the bov sorry im barely learning:D and yea i heard theres one in chula vista and the one in santee is too far because i live right off coronado ave by imperial beach. and i need to take it to the dyno so they can tune the turbo
