YouTube - GSX engine start after rebuild

Im pretty sure its not lifter tick. Im thinking timing is off, HG is bad or not on perfect, or valves are messed up. What do you guys think?

Its not my car but I have the exact same noise. I just rebuilt the engine too. Mods are in profile.

Mine sounds a little different and doesnt go away when the car warms up.
Also, I seafoamed it, which didnt make any difference. And i have 3g lifters.
What else could it be?

Im having the exact same issue my lifters are brand new with the rebuild They are 3g and the tick doesnt go away. sounds identical to the second video pursuit posted What is that noise it worrys me.

That video it's from when i star my engine for first time.
And that it's lifter ticking i just rev few time the engine and after that everything go fine.

That it's the lifter same like me :) But your it's very loud.

How long has these motors run any miles or just the idling? New lifters take about 10-15 miles to go away completely, especially if you didn't replace oil pump. I will say it is hard to tell from the video but if it is lifters drive the car around the block it should quiet down.

Yes about 10\15 min max with me and go away completely.

have you tried changing oil and putting on a mitsu oil filter

I had that noise, change oil(oil drained) refilled with 4 qts 5-30 whatever oil, then put in 1 qt of atf mercon 3.

Drove it for 20 miles drained it and put in 4 qt of 5-30, and noise left.
Atf conditioned the lifters to help the lifter hold the oil better.

try it, it's only a oil change

Good work :thumb: That it's the way just rev your engine few times and :sneaky:

I let mine run for like 15 minutes ad no change. Im going to do a compression check and change my oil, filter, and add some stabalizer and see if there is any change.

Sounds like a exhaust leak to me. Check the manifold and turbo and make sure your wastegate is all the way closed.
