K, been researching this topic for a while now. I figured I migh as well make one post everybody can read if they want to take the canister off so there not searching around all day like i've been. I'm almost ready to put my 6 bolt back in after a full rebuild, and i'm trying to get rid of as much crap that i don't need as possible. So, i have a few questions.
1. Will not having the canister/purge installed throw a CEL on a 1G?
2. Should i vent the line coming from the tank or should i cap it off?
3. What are the effects of both?
4. Is this a big contributor to passing emissions or with a downtune can I still pass the idle test you think? (i'm AWD, in IL they only do idle test)
5. Does the canister help produce better gas mileage?
6. Any negitive effects of taking it off?
