Yes unfortunately this is about BS. When I purchased my Talon it had already had the BS delete which is fine as I want it that way as I am planning to build my car up to 4-500AWHP. But as I did not do the delete and don't have much experience with balance shafts my questions are
1) Should I pop off the bearings on the block before I take my motor in to be bored and cleaned and put new bearings back on when done, or can I just re-use the bearings on there now?
2) When I was disassembling the motor the guy who did the delete didn't use a spacer he just reused the original sprocket but it does have some chips on it, I assume this is fine and I don't need a spacer or new sprocket since I am not using the belt, correct.
3) With my BS removed the oil pump sprocket now turns freely, does this mean it still has to be lined up with the timing mark or no? I know the crank trigger plate does.

Thanks

1) It would be a good idea to pop the bearings out to ensure that there are no metal shavings caught in the cavities for the ports feeding the front balance shafts when it is bored and cleaned. You should be able to reuse these if they are pressed out cleanly. On the other hand, they aren't expensive to replace at all if something does go wrong in pressing them out.

2) The original sprocket is fine, you'll be losing an insignificant amount by using the sprocket rather than a spacer.

3) That is fine. The BS/oil pump sprocket does not need to be lined up when the balance shafts are deleted.

Awesome ty. Exactly what I was looking for. I searched for these answers but couldn't find them specifically hopefully this will help someone else as well.
