on this balance shaft delete kit they gave me a stub shaft(which i have already installed) 2 freeze plugs not of the same size, and 1 bearing. i was told i would need two bearings, could i just put the one bearing in and reuse the other one? or would i need to get a new bearing?

The balance shaft kits for the 4g63 are as such... The rear or oil pump driven shaft is oiled through the shaft so no actual bearing is needed there. On the stub shaft be sure to use lock tite and torque that bolt to specs. The auxillary shaft does have to have the hole in the block covered as it is fed from the center main (this bearing can be removed and rotated to cover the hole). The small core plug is for the front cover, be very careful installing that plug as the metal is thin where it takes the place of the shaft seal(make sure to have the plug epoxied in place). You will use the old auxillary idler bearing and the bolt. I have done this on several 4g63s and it works well.:thumb:

well i just got done knocking the first front bearing out...kinda having difficulties gettin to the back bearing out cause my cam bearing tool isnt fitting. soo all i need to do is knock the 2 bearings out, clock them soo that the oil holes dont line up, and put my case back on? do i even need to put a bearing back on the oil pump side?

your kit is supposed to come with 2 bearings, a stubby shaft and a freeze plug.

on the exhaust side of the engine...the 2 bearings that are allready in there before you started can be reused but just simply flip them over and make sure the oil holes are pluged.

on the oil pump side, the bearing can be left in there because there is no oiling hole on the actual bearing, the oiling hole is inside the balance shaft. so leave that one alone...you can remove it if you want.. but its pointless.

once you put the 2 front bearings on, and jb welded the freeze pluf on your front case, installed the stubby shaft, then yes, just reinstall your front case with a new gasket.

to help install the deep front bearing, use a 32mm socket, put the bearing on the ratchet side of the socket ( there should be a lip ) and the nuse an extension on the socket to put the bearing in. once the bearing is in place...tap it little by little with a hammer. if you have any more questions you can pm me
