balance shaft question

before I get flamed here, I did some searching and couldnt find the answer to my question. I had the balance shaft eliminator kit done on my engine but dont think the tech swapped out the bearings. What kind of damage will the cause the engine short term and long term?

If that tech didn't flip those bearing 180 degree to block the oil hole you will be losing oil pressure.

What is your oil pressure reading at

Cold idle?
hot idle?
and running 4000 rpms?

Also what oil and weight is in the engine?

unable to produce that information for everyone, engine is pulled and actually tryin to sell the car. a wife, two kids, two cats, two dogs and house is where all my money currently resides.

Short term with the engine out the car? Nothing
Short term with the engine in the car and running? Low oil pressure, HLA tap, progressing to seized cams, junking the head, and spun bearings being the worst case.

Was the engine ever installed and run? if so how long?

I see you have been a member since Sept 07, Has your DSM been that trouble free?

Not to get off topic but I'm ordering the balance shaft eliminator kit from extremepsi and I'm gonna do it myself, just wondering if it comes with any instructions and what the difficulty of this job is with the kit. The motor will be out of the car. It's a 98 gst 7 bolt.

yeah im sure thats real fun haha, when you did it did you have to port your oil filter housing?

No I didnt. My oil pressure seems great but one thing I dislike about removing the shafts is the excess vibration.I have all poly mounts as well and its insane.When I first deleted the BS, my tranny unbolted itself and my oil filter almost came off!

I just got used to the vibration.

Oh wow i didn't realize it adds that much more vibration, i guess it's a worth while sacrifice for your engine though, guess i will be using some mild strength loctite on some bolts haha
