Balance shaft Question

Is there a way to remove the front balance shaft belt without pulling off the timing belt? has anyone every just removed the belt and left the shaft in? I would do the removal but i cant afford to not have a car. Please give me some feedback
 
Some people cut the belt and leave it there, but then there leaves the other balance shaft coming out of the oil pump that one will have to be removed. but i have seen people leave the shaft in and turn it in a certain direction i THINK not sure if it matters but thats what i have seen.
 
Does anyone have a tech on how to cut the belt because thats what i plan on doing,
 
But if you can set aside a day to completely removved the balance shafts, i would recommend cutting the balance shaft coming out of the oil pump and welding teh hole shut BUT you need to take that balance shaft out to do all of this or find a balance shaft removal stud with the hole for lubrication in it, the sloid ones tat come in some kits sieze up due to no lubrication. and I had a problem with one fitting tight.

I would never consider just disconnecting the front and leaving the rear installed for several reasons:

Both balance shaft generate vibrations and if you have ever had them out of sync you have some idea of how much they generate. It's not clear to me that either shaft's vibrations are independant of the other even though both seem to run at twice crank speed but in different directions. (If I figured the rear ratios correctly, 4:3 then 3:2)

The rear shaft fails as much or more than the front. When it fails, it takes out the timing belt 100% of the time. The front belt doesn't always get wrapped up in the timing belt when the front shaft goes.

There is plenty of data on 4G6's with no shafts since Mitsu builds then that way for trucks and less expensive cars. If one balance shaft was fine why are there two and double the cose and double the weight?

These are all opinions though, some people don't mind the extra vibration, some people think their engine is about to blow up it's so bad. If you want to try it, you can always put another balance shaft belt back on.
