ok under my eci multi (I don't know what every one calls it) there is a puddle of something. I noticed it after I was letting my car run for a while. I was listinging to my car I am hearing a pigeon like sound from the eci multi when the idle serge bogged down? any one had this happen to the. I am going to take apart the engine some what Tuesday with my dad. :rocks:

Under this part? (That's 'Air Intake Manifold', or just 'Intake' Section of it with 'ECU Multi' stamp is the 'Intake plenum' i believe).

Or this ('Valve cover', what simplejoe is talking about):

Where is the puddle exactly and what kinda puddle is it? Let the car cool off and stick your finger in it and see how it feels/smells. Should be obvious if it's oil. Won't suggest tasting it though.
Sounds like it is oil and it's collecting sorta inside the intake (intake is J-shaped when viewed from a side). If that's the case do check the valve cover gasket. Wipe around the edge of valve cover with a towel, crank up the car, and see if any (more) oil comes out. If so, that gasket can be replaced in under an hour and is cheap.

2 things really could be leaking there could be coolant from heater hoses or from the fiav (fast idle air valve) those are the 2 coolant hoses going to the tb (throttle body) or it could be gas coming from your fuel filter

I just had the other day i was messing around under the hood and moved the fuel filter some and the lower line had come lose

It will be obvious what it is just get some on your fingers and smell it does it smell sweet if so its coolant if not im sure you know how gas smells
