I have been going crazy over this problem for awhile!!!

When i first start my car its RPMS bounch between 500 and 100 for about 3 minutes and then after 3 minutes the car runs perfectly.

If i put it in drive before the 3 minutes are up it will stall on me.

it runs like a new car after those three minutes, i drove it 300 miles after letting it warm up for three minutes with no problem.

if i turn the car off then back on right away i will have to wait another 3 minutes so it has nothing to do with the engine being warm or not.

I cleaned the TB
New IAC/ISC

I have an Evo 3 intake manifold with TB laying around so i took the TPS off of it and put it on my car. It fixed the Idle problem but my car started to shift horrible. So i figued that was a bad TPS as well so i purchased a new TPS and it went back to the original problem of idleing bad and then running fine after 3 minutes.

So i also have a new TPS.

I have a P1105 code on which is the Fuel Pressue Solenoid malfunction, so i bypassed the FPS to make sure it wasnt that and the problem. Which it still ran the same after.

I am out of ideas and have no idea how to fix it.

Any help will be appreciated because i am about to pull all my hair out. im tired of having to wait 3 minutes everytime i start my car.

Coolent sensor is fine, i have new plugs, new wires and the plugs are gaped correctly. I replaced the fuel filter about 2 months ago as well when i replaced the fuel pump and fuel pump filter.

Same thing happens to my car ... well.. almost exactly .. I backfire when mine stalls... I have the P1105 code, I have done the tests on the solenoid and it works fine.. So they say trace it to the ECU.. The P1105 could just be a signifier that something is wrong with the ECU. I have ECU+ on mine and there are some tweeks and changes that I have recently made to try to correct this backfiring and stalling.. In a few days I will have my wideband hooked up, I'll do some more tweeking with the ECU+ and I will le tyou know what I have come up with ...

If you find out what it is first, please update us. Oh are you running rich at all? that seems to be a huge issue with me.

My dad checked it. He is a mechanic and has his own shop. My vac is at 22 so i dont believe i have a leak.

i dont believe that the coolant sensor can be checked by computer ( someony correct me if i am wrong)

you can test the sensor by putting it in cold water or in hot water , please go to search and look there for the right way to test your coolant sensor (its there in details)

good luck

Does anyone else have anymore suggestions? I will check the coolant sensor tomorrow.

Please any help will be appreciated

I ran the car without waiting for the idle to level off today. When i dont wait the car has no power until my boost guage is full then i get a rush of power. When i do wait for the idle to level off it still acts very strange. When i have the car in drive it stays around 500Rpms and then when i put it in park it jumps up to about 1500Rpms.

I am completely stumped, is there anything else i can try? my coolant guage works fine.

I have read many posts and almost everyone states that it has no ill-effects on the performance of the car.

It could be that something else (ecu or another sensor) is causing the problem, causing your car to run like crap, but ends up throwing an incorrect P1105 code. Someone said that a bad/dirty fuel filter could throw this code.. anyway ... /shrug. good luck.

This problem is something that i have noticed when i have my bov vented to atmosphere? Is your bov recirculated or vented. When i remove mine on cold starts i get a bouncing throttle and boggs down like no other. Then when i step on it turbo spools and the son of a ***** takes off like a bat out of hell. Lets here if your bov is vented or recirced

have you done a boost leak? just because your vac on the boost gauge is correct doesnt mean you dont have a leak

ya i mean that sounds like my car to a T. I had a few issues. The culprit for me was the bov being vented as well as the BISS screw being at the wrong adjustment so my base idle was wrong. These could be the two problems for your car as well.
