Today I would like to announce some changes in our car sponsors for 2010. It is both with a heavy heart and excitement that I announce the replacement of my long time sponsor and friend, KBR Performance. Karlo at KBR has supported the car from the land speed days when nobody believed in it and has been such a huge part of it’s achievements. I have to express sincere gratitude for those years. The first racing successes were achieved in the shadow of many other shops who had tried and failed to reliably assemble that car. These failures had come at a huge cost and just when I was ready to give up, I gave it one more try with KBR. People used to laugh at the car when I told them we were going to set a land speed record with a 4-cylinder convertible and Karlo believed in the car when nobody else did.

The new shop sponsor is called Competition GT and their grand opening is forthcoming. They are based out of Irvine, CA and they are extremely committed to the car. More details on this shop will be forthcoming!

Nitto tires: We have always had a great relationship with Nitto and they have supplied us with the tires that achieved more championship wins in time attack than I can count anymore. Our wins could not have been possible without their support and having the fastest tires available for time attack at our disposal. I would say the largest strength of the NT-01 is that while achieving the same performance level as the most expensive options it lasts event after event giving the same performance until the threads show and doing all of that at a lower price than its competitors. Even if Nitto didn’t sponsor the car, I’d never run anything else.

NSFabrication: Nick at NSFabrication is now the car's crew chief. Nick worked a massive amount of hours last year with insane deadlines. Often going without sleep (and worse) for days on end, his work never suffered. Nick built an electrical diagram for the car and rewired every single component. Not just that but there wasn't so much as a single bug in the electrical system since he did that work. With ZERO testing, we drove it to the dyno, tuned the MoTeC then went to the race and won!

Road Race Engineering. Last year when we won Super Lap Battle we could not have done it without the help of RRE, especially Sam and Robert. They have signed up to assist us officially for this coming season!

T.E.M. Machine is ready and able to help us once again in any capacity. Rich has been an extremely knowledgeable and reliable machinist. His port work on the car is dyno proven for 30+hp gains without any compromise in area under the curve. Rich's work in conjunction with the top tier parts from Magnus Motorsports is solely responsible for the best power curve I've seen on a 4 cylinder engine in my life. 660ft/lbs of torque is seriously ridiculous! The car is such a pleasure to drive because of the extraordinary engine.

ROBISPEC: Robispec has been responsible for our shock valvings, alignment and track side support, almost since day one in time attack.

LG Motorsports: I owe a lot of what I know to the guys at LG. I hope to follow in their tradition of kicking major a$@ in every race I compete in and so far that’s been exactly what happened. Look for LG in Grand Am this year I’ll be there with them for at least couple races depending on how things play out in SuperGT this year, which races we will run. My team (Daishin Ferrari) is struggling for funding this year.

I would also like to announce that I've been working for some months now for FXMD (FactorX before the name change), the NSX that has been dominating unlimited class time attack. I've been developing an aero package for the car since last season and we will be competing at the World Time Attack Championship in Sydney Australia in two months! Please follow us and wish us luck.

Matt Andrews has signed on to drive the eclipse again we are planning and hoping to run a limited set of events this year. It may be as small as just one event because its really all depending on my race schedule and what country I have to be in but we're hoping to run 1-3 events this year. Matt has also joined forces with FXMD and he will be a driving along side Billy Johnson!

hey Drew, thanks for letting me and my shop be a part of the success of your Eclipse. I remembered back in the days in which you were about to give up and lose hope on building your Eclipse. I even remembered on how you approached me on Supraforums and asked me if I can work on Eclipse. at first I was kinda skeptical about building a "Land Speed" FWD Eclipse GST and I have to build it in a certain time frame. I remembered the first time I laid my eyes on your Eclipse when we first checked it out from Frank's shop. I was kinda shocked on what I saw. a car that has no motor or tranny in it, all parts in a big box, plastic bag and ziplock bags, bolts missing and god knows what. basically the car was a huge pile of sh!t, it was in a million of pieces and was begging for a new life.

anywayz, to make a long story short. I did what I supposed to do. build his car the right way (of course with the excellent help of TEM Machine Shop, who built our bad a$$ motor!) and assured Drew that I guarantee my work and will help him achieve his personal goals with his car.

it was a good time working with Drew and sponsoring his amazing, record setting, a$$ kicking Eclipse GST Spyder. and although he has a new major sponsor now, Drew and his Eclipse is still more than welcome here at KBR Performance and we are still here ready to help him achieve his goals, because I have never, ever knew a guy that is really dedicated and passionate as a racer like Drew.

"worlds fastest FWD convertible... AITE PEACE!"
