It was time to clean the engine bay from my October Arkansas rally. I kind of forgot who clean the engine bay looks when washed.
Before:
After: The under hood insulation rubs the timing cover, so I need to fix that.
I then found some black caps for the seat brackets/nuts. The seats sit so far back that the front nuts stick out like a sore thumb, so this definitely helps. You can see the stained carpet. That will be a project for next winter.
While inside I pulled the floor mats out to give them a good clean. I also ordered a new floor mat holder (idk what else you call the plastic piece to keep the floor mat in place).
I then finally installed the rear sway bar. I purchased it being told it was a FWD, but now I'm questioning if this is an AWD bar. The layout makes me think it is designed to go around the rear dif. I'll try it out and see if there are any concerns.
I purchased a set of Mitsu and GST stickers from Etsy. They are cheap stickers, and the GST specfically is already peeling a bit. I'll try to find a better set later this summer. That said, I think it really completes the rear of the car.
Last thing I did was swap over to a set of black seat belts. Unfortunately I only have 3 (both fronts and one rear). Later this summer I will worry about it and get the remaining black rear belt. It is hard to tell in the picture, but the difference is pretty drastic in person. Plus the driver side is no longer ripped/torn.
