Hey when I bought my get it came with an Evo3 16g everything else is stock. The original Turbo blew and he got a good deal on the 16g.

So question is am I OK running this Turbo at stock boost and everything else ?
I also have evo 560 injectors should I throw them in so I'm not running lean?

Thanks

You will be fine running stock boost on that turbo. Anything more than about 14 psi and you might wanna up your fuel it all depends on how hard your running it. But remember once you up the injectors ya you can run more boost but you ll be running rich and have to start looking into fuel management.

It's hard to say.

even though you may keep the PSI at stock levels CFM comes into play.

T-25 flows 405 CFM
E3 16g flows 550 CFM

You could be running Stock PSI, and Still be going Lean.

For Safety's sake, get some tuning software IE: DSMLINK this will allow you to monitor, and Adjust.

Follow the Upgrade Path Tech Guide: 2G 4G63t Upgrades - DSMtuners

Larger injectors, Upgraded Fuel Pump, with Link, and you get to see the true potential of the Car.

Keep the turbo at wastegate pressure since you don't have any way to tune. With that in mind, don't put in larger injectors until you have something to dial them in with as well.

Follow the upgrade path provided above and you'll be set. You may want to jump around on it a little more since you are out-of-order on it already just so you can get back in line.

Don't worry though, I had the same thing happen with mine a while back, the T25 blew and I needed a new turbo. I wanted to get a larger turbo after the supporting mods of course but I also didn't want to put on another T25. Just kept it at wastegate pressure and all was well.

Your IDC% will be higher just from the increased airflow but you won't be going over 100% with wastegate boost (you'll need so push roughly 12-13psi with the 16g) and a 100% leak free system.

OK so the only problem that I have noticed is if I do a WOT pull I hit fuel cute (so I stay away from doing that).

So here is what I was thinking about doing first change all belts ie. Timing and all others ( drive belts sqeak really loud on start up.) Taking it to a shop for that one because I don't wanna screw up.

Next is smic hard pipping with ssqv resuclated
Link or safc (not sure which to do)
And then my 560 injectors

Car does have a cone filter and his cat back

I'm trying to keep the car simi smog legal so I wanted to stay away from fmic down pipe ex....

Wait your saying your already hitting fuel cut without any mods other than the 16g at wastegate pressure??? if you do then most likely you have the wastegate routed wrong.

I once acidently rerouted my waste wrong and I was hitting 22 psi at WOT :coy: and couldn't figure it out until I noticed something was wrong with the way the wastegate vacuum hoses were routed.

Oh and by the way you can have a FMIC in california and pass smog :). And if you can't you can always find people that can help you out :sneaky:.

Before dropping money on Link, I'd personally check your ecu and see if it's a black plastic case ecu. If it is you can spend the $170 on a tactrix 2.0 (taxtrix.com) and you'll be golden for tuning minus the $25 fee for evoscan (logging program) available from evoscan.com, and ecuflash (tuning program-free) from openecu.org.

I do have a boost gauge and I read a steady 13 PS I. And my waste gate is routed right. I'm not having any boost spikes so I did a boost leak test and that's all fine so my next guess is the plugs or wires.

I have never heard of that tuning program has any one else on here used it and are there reviews on it?
