Hi, I came across on my travels, someone who was willing to sell me a aluminum 4g63 block with only 30,000 miles on it. Kind of weird, I have never seen anything like it. Light as a feather to. Whats the history with this?

This is the longest thread I have ever seen about something so stupid. A little common sense would easily determine on first sight. Sorry to vent, just sick of seeing this thread everytime I get on the forum.

Cast iron... it was a month ago I saw it, and I could hold it in one hand, idk about curl LOL.

Im going to check it out today, after having a better look I will know for sure its cast iron.

Alright... I feel like a total idiot. From now on unless its in front of me, I wont guesstimate what a block is made from, seems my imagination got the best of me...

OK guys.

It's a 6 or 7 bolt block, probaly a 6.

Painted very well, baked and media blasted.

Cyls were 10 thousandths over and had a machine hone.

NO GIRDLES.

Engine did look very new and impressive machine shop job. As far as weight.... It was light, but I'm Betting due to no girdles/suit case handles.

Sorry guys I got to excited. But I also took his word he didn't know what he had so... I had to check it out.

I offered $35.00 Rejected.

I remember lifting a very light silver block like a month ago at a guys house. It just so happens I asked him about it, and he said it was aluminum so, I was like NO WAY and posted the question on here. Trust me I know DSM's which is why today, I knowed exactly what I was dealing with about 2 secs after seeing it in person again.

As for the one hand lifting, dude I totally could. Idk about curl LOL.

Yea as soon as I walked up to it, looked at the deck.. I was like yeh.. Cast Iron 4g63.

If he had the main caps, Id offer like $100 for it.

I offered $35 without any. But he said No.

Look at your own pic, that engine WILL NOT fit in a GSX, neither 1G or 2G. You've never seen a DSM engine from the bellhousing side if you think this is one.

Here we go again. Its a 4g63. Its a 6 bolt. The bore was 10 thousandths over a stock 4g63, so apprently its a 4g63.

Idk what car it went it, or what. But it has a 4g63 deck, it has a 4g63 bore, it has a 4g63 stamp, it had a 4g63 crank in it.

BTw the middle is were the rear main seal goes, the top bolt holes if for the top of the trans, the outwards of the block is for the bellhousing lining up dowls.
Still looks odd for some reason.

I really don't care what it is, or where it goes. I don't want it.

BTW THATS NOT MY PIC.... the pic I had was low resolution.

I don't care if it's a 4g63 or not. My point is there is no where for the t-case to go. Maybe it's from a forklift or something.

If you don't know what our engines look like, spend 12 seconds on google images.

Why are you talking about a t-case fitting on a block. I would try a google search yourself.
