Hi, I came across on my travels, someone who was willing to sell me a aluminum 4g63 block with only 30,000 miles on it. Kind of weird, I have never seen anything like it. Light as a feather to. Whats the history with this?
 
The block is connected to the transmission, the transmission is connected to the transfer case, the transfer case is connected to the.....
 
It's pointless to even continue. The pics posted are too crappy to tell what's going on, plus the whole point was the aluminum baloney. The instant he admitted it wasn't aluminum this thread should've been just closed.

It doesn't look like one of our engines to me, but maybe that's just because he has the sides cut off on the bellhousing side pic.

But yes it is Cast Iron.

It was my fault I admit, I forgot what the blocked looked like, and the guy said it was aluminum, so I freaked. My bad guys. Sorry.

EVEN AT 1ST GLANCE YOU CAN TELL ITS NOT ALUMINUM!!!!!! 1st of all aluminum is usually very smooth and looks nothing like cast iron. even the color is the is different!!!!!!! sorry to write on a "RESOLVED" thread but come on dude!!!! really?? it is very clean ill give you that LOL next time i suggest taking the time to look at something before posting a thread that honestly in my opinion should of been closed along time ago.I dont know how you say you know alot about dsm"s hell even engines in general and thin that that was Aluminum:nono: anyways iam done venting sorry if i affended you.

I didn't have pics till after I opened thread. Owner said he had a aluminum 4g63.
The more and more I look at the pics, the more I feel like a idiot LOL.
