Hi, I came across on my travels, someone who was willing to sell me a aluminum 4g63 block with only 30,000 miles on it. Kind of weird, I have never seen anything like it. Light as a feather to. Whats the history with this?

I didn't think anything of it... Guy only lives 20 miles away I'm totally going to buy it!.

I'm not messing around guys, it was a real 4g63, just aluminum...

No !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its a stock looking block, looks just like my cast iron!!! Its aluminum though jeez!

I mean the chances of someone actually machining an aluminum block that actually isn't from that billet website is close to nothing. Pics please.

There are no aluminum 4g63 blocks made by mitsubishi.... The good ole iron block should never be made in aluminum.

Dude. Seriously I would not put this up if it wasn't real. I'm trying to get ahold of him now. He just had it laying on the garage floor, I was like whats that, hes like O just a aluminum 4g63 with 30k... I was like What?, I picked it up, it weighed close to nothing...

Had a 4g63 stamp.

Guys I will do everything I can to get pics, and figure out what it is, I swear man...

I will get pics, give me a hour or 2 to get ahold of him... No it wasn't a 4b11 because I think he had a 1g head that he said came with it. Like I said had a 4g63 Stamp.

Worst thing that could happen is its a 4b11, but I remember seeing 4g63 on it.

So does the 4b11 look just like a 4g63 or??? I also don't remember seeing any cyl liners... Looking like a 4g63 deck

No the 4b11 looks ALOT different than the 4g63. Impossible to get confused if you have seen a 4g63 bare...

I have rebuilt mine, and tore down many. It was a 4g63 for sure then wtf man... What does this guy Have.......

I am not lieing. I wanted it when I saw it, but he wanted a couple hundred for it, and I had no idea what to do with it. If he says its a 4b11 I'm going to be mad, cause I swear it looked like a 4g63.

I mean I don't know why he would buy a EVO X engine, because he has barely enough parts to get his 2g up and running... He had like no money either... so idk....I don;t think he would buy a EVO X engine just to have it sit in his garage floor...

Just got word back.... He says it was a 6 bolt, hopefully it didn't get sold...

I asked him to take a pic of it with the 4g63 stamp in view.

If anything, it is going to have Aluminum Rods as said above. If that is the case, I would definitely not buy it. Stretching of the rod bolts had to have happen. They won't be the same size as they were when they were new.

EDIT: Just noticed you drive an N/T. Why would you buy this anyway?

Hey man this guy says its a 6 bolt, and I'm trying to get him to let me come check it out tonight. Now **** it give me a break. I'm going by his word. He seems pretty confident its a 6 bolt 4g63, he even said yeh I still got that really lightweight 4g63 6 bolt.

So just hang on.

I drive a N/T and a Turbo so yeh...

I told him to send me pics of the 4g63 Stamp on the block.

I will then head out with my camcorder, take pics and upload cause this would be crazy.

I will meet you man, we can both check it out.

I swear I saw it myself. I picked it up myself. I saw the 4g63 stamp.

The guy is insisting its a 6 bolt aluminum 4g63 with 30k.

I know. Probaly to good to be true. But all I remember is I really wanted to buy it, but I was like, where would I get parts and etc.
