So I really want to use the pulley that my power steering use to use for my power steering. I want to put my alternator where my power steering resovior use to be. Do you guys think this will be a problem or will I run into a lot of problems?

so even if I had a solid bracket hooked up to the body of the car it would still be a bad idea?? I only have solid front and rear motor mounts

Yea,even with a solid mount to the body the engine moves seperately from the body enough to easily pop the belt los when lleaving a light or accelerating hard. YOu want the alt tucked up tight to the block and solid as possible It seems there would be more clutter to run the alt backwards and mounted to the body, there'd be tons of crap involved in making that work most likely...I'm a fa guy and i wouldn't want to waste good man hours trying it for i can see how bad it would perform already when i think about it.
