Okay guys Ive got this noise coming form what seems to be the top of the engine but when I push the clutch in I can feel a bit of the vibrations through the pedal I have sinking suspicion that this is not going to be the answer I want but let me know what you guys think

Eck!!!!!! Sounds like a bad lifter :(. You need to do a compression test and let us know the results of it. That way we can help you out even more with some data to go by.

It really worrys me that I can feel it through the clutch pedal, this is why I was thinking it was worse than just a lifter. I have a spare head with 3g lifters I believe that I can swap out if needed but I want to make sure it is the lifter that is my problem and not another rod knock... Ill get a compression test done tomorrow and see what that says and post back

looks like compression came up at 37 across the board with all plugs out and testing it, It came up similar numbers when my timing was way off but it will start and runs now so it cant be timing..? Anybody have any ideas?
