I'm kind of curious about this but I want to know how much hp an all-motor 4g63 can make? I'm talking about internal work, heads, cams and everything if anybody can answer this question it would be greatly appreciated.

I believe the block internals will be fine, but may want to get higher compression pistons since there is no turbo. Any NT bolt on you will need to make some good power. Cams, head, etc.

I just want to try something new because you don't see too many all-motor 4g63's out there especially one that might be running nitrous

well I'm going to run it all-motor most of the time the nitrous is just incase I get whooped by someone second time around I can at least keep up or beat them.

if you did an all motor 4g63 that would be sick.. only if you dropped in a turbo after your all motored it, cuz at that point youll be rediculous

i think you might be able to make about 170 whp after ALOT of money and tuning..It would be sick dough.Might be able to squeeze 200ish with nitrous. If i ever win the lotto,i'm gonna buy a 2gnt(my first DSM) and NA it on stock internals just to see what it can do,cams, headwork, tuning,a little bit of bottle, just for fun and to piss people off who say it's a waste of time. :sneaky: .Mod it,have fun,but if you just wanna go fast for cheap, you always have the advantage of having a 4g63 and you can just "slap" a turbo on there.

This might just be the thread I was looking for. :thumb:

If I understand correctly, you guys are talking about taking a 4g63, tuning it as far as it goes without forced induction of any kind. So, with a 4g63 turbo engine, it means removing the turbo stuff. WTF

So, here is my question: The European Market 2.gen Eclipse Non Turbo (where available) has the 4g63 engine instead of the Chrysler 420A. Do you think one could go the opposite way of dsmracer2005 and bolt on the stock turbo parts from a 4g63 turbo engine? ;)

(I found a Spanish guy with a European 4g63 N/T turbo-ed in the 2g N/T turbocharging forum part, but I cannot post there yet and I don't want to be posting smileys every other post, just get my post count up. Otherwise I cannot find an answer to my question. )

Oh, if it is any help I think the N/T 4g63 is rated as a 145 HP engine. :coy:

yeah you can do it but you have to keep the boost down I think the highest you can go is 7 psi not really sure

and I have no problem with spending money it's not mine anyway it's my dad's but still a fully built 4g63 motor with nitrous and a gutted interior sounds like it can be fast

No not removing the "turbo stuff",but rather modifying the NA version of the 4g63,the same engine in your EDM eclipse.the main difference is comprssion ratio.Where as the 4G63T has 7.8,i believe the 4G63 in NA trim came with 9.1 compression. This will give you a bump in power in NA trim.

you can do your turbo swap, but as dsmracer stated you would have to keep the boost down.but hey,it's better then nothing. You can use this link as a reference:Since your 2G I'm sure a couple of things would be different, but this will send you in the right direction.

Bringing this thread back so I don't have to waste space making new thread space but I am very curious in making a all motor 4g63 and dropping it in a colt, I want to try to run 12's. Any thoughts? There is Mark with his 420a Fastest All Motor DSM on the Planet » MITSUBISHI GEARBOX MAGAZINE but I feel a 4g63 could do more with as much they have been known to take a beating.

This is what I dreamed up

EDIT: oh, this thread is an artifact, sorry.

Why would you not want turbo, if you don't get annoyed with me asking. For the records; for the hell of it? Because building shit is fun? :)

EDIT: Good read. I like how he's giving lots of tips and is very descriptive. I can just imagine being there in the car.

I think you should do what was talked about in the 14b race discussion thread and build and all motor 4G63, and then later put a 14b on to go for a ride and see what happens! LOL

do a 4g64, run 12 to 1 compression, light weght pistons, good tune you can still use pump gas, ballance and blue print. remove balance shafts, light crank pulley, light flywheel, cam it out. then do LSD and suspension work to get it to hook, i bet you could be in the 10's all motor. and still be fairly streetable.

Dude, I saw your facebook status and thought you were joking....you're serious?

In a colt you might have a chance. Strip it and gut it down to a tin can, keep it FWD, and you might be able to go fairly quick. But, there's a guy already building an all motor 4G63, and after a ton of time and a LOT of money, I think he's only planning or expecting 200-230hp. You COULD hit it with nitrous...but if you're going to spray it, you might as well just turbocharge it and be done with it.

I second the 4G64 idea. Get custom pistons and make it 14:1 compression or as high as you can get away with, build it up, DOHC swap it and cam it, that with a lot of weight reduction it'd be fairly fast...but you are still talking $$$.

But, if you do this, you gotta do it with an Ostrich. Hahaha.
