Ok I know this post should go in the 1g n/t forum in the all motor thread but im a "newbie" so the darn thing won't let me!!! But on with the question: I was looking at the all motor guide for the 1g (written by xhypno)and saw that if I upgraded my N/T intake cam to a turbo intake cam and my N/T fuel pump to a turbo one among other mods, I could give my car more power. I was looking to see what else i needed to do to install the cam and the fuel pump? injectors? FPR? what? im replacing my timing belt and i already have the turbo intake cam and turbo fuel pump, so I thought it would be a good time to drop them in. I just dont want to bolt them up and be running too rich or too lean. I know "xhypno" could answer the question but i cant get a hold of him. so what else do
I need???? Please Help!!!!!!:( :thumb:

1st off, if you're going to do any modding, you MUST HAVE:

1. A logger

2. Way to tune, i.e. SAFC, blah blah...

If I understand correctly, turbo cams have less overlap so maybe youll get a lumpy idle (pry not with stock cams tho)
Youll want a more square lob on your cam in the future.
That means youll need some stronger valve springs to be able to close your valves in time.
Might as well oversize them at the same time.

For a NA build you want higher compression. Rods and pistons.

Pull your entire interior to get a good HP to weight ratio.

And youll want to rev the piss outta that thing like a Honda to get some power.....

Just a start.

Higher compression pistons will help a lot,and maybe some aftermarket cams. The stock turbo cams are a bit bigger, but pretty minimal. With your pump,I actually took mine out of my old gs,and it was a turbo pump according to the part number,so you might get lucky. The pump wont make your run rich either. But like what was said above, get a datalogger and that will tell you if you need bigger injectors/pump.If you get injectors, remember theyre high impedance not low like the turbo cars.

A pump "can" make you run rich if it overruns the stock FPR. But a stock pump pry wont.
