Air filter help

Ok. We went to a blow thru setup and front mount on our 2G. It has a small 16g. I need to see if there is anywhere I can find and air fliter that has a 2 1/4"-2 1/2" inlet. I want to be able to put the filter right on the turbo. If I have to smash it a little or make it work somehow I will. I just need something to cover the inlet of the compressor. I cut a square out of an old K & N I had and tried that. It was mesh screen, filter, mesh screen. Well the setup I thought was going to work perfectly. It didn't. It basically blocked all air flow to the turbo somehow.

I called Colorado Powersports(motorcycle and ATV shop) and they said they might be able to get one ordered in for $60.

Any help appreciated. I am stumped. I have thought of everything and this is the first time I am stumped with a DSM.

Go to Autozone or something and look at the K&N cones for Hondas/small cars. One should fit your application. Some little 1 point something liter has to have a 2.5 inch intake.

I think I figured it out. Air filter, clamp, 2 1/2" piece of pipe(2-4 inches in length, buy from autozone or checker), coupler, clamp, turbo.
