First off. what is the point of the passages in the rear of the TB if they are blocked off by the gasket?
Just got back from the parts store. I was expecting to see gaskets like these...
They tell me they don't carry the forward gasket. Only the base. Guy pulls them out and they look like cardboard and have none of the nice looking sealant going around the passages on the pic above.
They also cover up half the ISC passages on the lower back side of the TB. Should I trim the gasket?
I hate RTV with a passion. Just spend an hour cleaning it all off from previous owner. Is it necessary to use some sort of sealant again?
I can just cut my own FWD gasket I suppose.
Thanks
