Mine just came in. Shipping was super fast. Not that I’m aware of but I was able to identify which one so believe are correct just based on the shape of the port and which one would be what
Might grab one of those fobs also. Thanks for the link
Actually after I wired it all up put the power wire on my fuse box I have under the hood and grounded it out hooked up the driver door then the passenger door everything just worked with the key fob I didn't have to program anything but temu is where I got it they send you directions on how to program it. I figured it out I think it's working the door lock cylinders don't work though but with the key fob you just took the solenoid up to the rodWas it a pain to program? I received a pair back on November but i haven't gotten around to install them.
No way! I have a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder it has factory alarm I added an aftermarket keyless entry but I can't tie it into the factory alarm. Are you saying I already had a keyless entry well the key fob would be lost years ago so I wouldn't know how to make that work. Anyway if anyone can help me I've got the aftermarket keyless entry hooked up working but now the factory alarm quit working I want to tie them in together and make the lights blink when I hit the lock button. This car's got some problems with the locks on the door for sure it's old and I'm trying to restore it any help would be appreciated guys thank you

Actually the biggest pain with the install was running the wires through the wiring harness. There is a piece of plastic inside your door frame in between your door and the fender that you're wiring harness goes through you can drill a hole through that to run your wires through. But then you also have to run them through the plastic sleeve that's holding all the wires in between the door it wasn't easy we used a cable. We ran the wires one at a time cuz there's five colored wires for the driver's side door. But after you get the wires ran through the wiring harness on both doors the rest of it's pretty simple. I'll try to get some pictures of mine since I'm missing one of my door panels anyway. Good luckWas it a pain to program? .So that's the passenger side door the driver side you're going to have like five wires you have to run them through your wiring harness like I said it was hard to do we actually pulled the door off. But that's where I put it in my door panel on the driver side fit perfectly over that solenoid. Then you have to decide where to put the brain box I put it on my kick panel underneath my steering wheel on the left side I'm still trying to figure out which wire is accessory wire to make my horn go off or my lights blink when I hit the lock but the locks are working great.Oh nice that will help! Im going to try and task that job this weekend.
So the little metal mounting bar they give you when you order the kit will not fit in that hole I had to cut some cheap aluminum to fit there and just bolt it through and don't try to put the solenoid on the inside the window will hit it I've done tried thatOh nice that will help! Im going to try and task that job this weekend.
Make sure your RFID module is plugged in. It's just to the back of the B pillar below the rear speakerish. Can't miss it.Bringing back an older thread here. I bought one of these red FOB's about a year ago and I was attempting to program it today using the grounding pin 1 & 4 method. My car is a 99. I couldn't get the process to work no matter how many times I tried. I then noticed when locking my doors the green SECURITY light was not coming on anymore - and it used to. But then I got to think the car is running on ECMLink off a different ECU - probably a 95 or 96 that used a different style security system. Does this sound like a plausible reason for this not working - or am I missing something else?
I'm 100% positive the module is plugged in. I haven't had that part of the car apart in years, and like I said, last I recall when I was on the 99 black box ECU the SECURITY light was lighting up on the dash.Make sure your RFID module is plugged in. It's just to the back of the B pillar below the rear speakerish. Can't miss it.
I fought and fought with mine (98) and eventually took the RFID module from a 97 in my driveway and it worked. Must have been damaged or something. I believe I have a 95 ECU, shouldn't make a difference as its contained within that module.
Did you get the doors to lock or anything during the process?
Your door pins, trunk AND hood pin need to be operational for this process.
All I can share with you guys is the factual experience I've had with my own car. Mine is a 99 that originally had the black box ECU. My FOB and security system worked fine on the original ECU. Since switching over to a 95 EPROM with Link my security system is no longer functional and I can't program my new FOB. Door lock switches still work perfectly fine within the car both sides. The two issues may be separate, I dunno. I don't really care about the security system and FOB was really just a connivence thing, I've been using my key for years, so I'll just continue to do so. I just thought it odd.I have this fob and i have yet to even attempt to program them.

I guess the only question I have, is if the ECU has nothing to do with the FOB, it's only controlled by the RFID Module in the back? Is the Security System linked into that module as well? B/c obviously those two things have to communicate in some way. The green security light would literally come on as soon as I locked the doors.
Yeah hood is closed and hood switch works. I'm gonna look more into it after work and see what I can seeMight be dumb question, but was your hood closed? Many years ago I was reprogramming a factory FOB and I couldn't get it to work for the life of me. I realized after much frustration I had the hood propped and there's a hood latch sensor. As soon as I closed the hood I was able to program it no problem.
Other than that, I don't see anything you're missing. I tried to program one of these this summer and couldn't get it to work either. I gave up, it's sitting in a box.
what part is this?Id say this is probably my culprit...
