I bought my Spyder used and it didn't come with a key fob transmitter. I have the key less entry but no remote. Is there any way to get a replacement remote? The dealer says I have to get a whole new system. Better to get an aftermarket I say.

First, have the dealer run the VIN to see if it is equipped with keyless entry, and if it is go e-bay .... do a couple more searches to find programming instructions and you are set.

Simple as that 1) find out 2) e-bay 3) reprogram...

Thanks,

Check and make sure you have the keyless entry first! i think it's on the driverside and under the back side window, it should be a black box. I bought my car and didn't get my remote and i wanted one! my mom went to the dealer and ran my vin bought the transimitter and then it was $82 to hook up after she bought the remote. Yes she overpaided. Hit up ebay like mentioned by superspyder and go from there! you don't need a whole new system if you already have the box in your car! Don't take that crap from a dealer trying to scam you!

how do you reprogram the key fob. mine is messed up and dont want to buy a new one. would like to try to reprogram it first
