Hi, im looking to get a AFPR and i found this on ebay, There is NOway i can afford a aeromotive unit,

it looks like i would have to cut the stock fuel line and tap into it?

why dont you try the fullthrottlespeed fuel pressure regulator that bolts right on to the 2g fuel rail. It costs more than the ebay one ($150) but less than the aeromotive one. www.fullthrottlespeed.com is the site if you want to check it out. And yea the ebay one seems like you need to modify it somehow to work.

I love my full throttle speed AFPR, direct bolt on to the rail and can get a nice liquid gauge. Only downside is that the gauge is sorta hard to get at to read but a piece of flew hose and pressur fittings changed that

Lordpaxin - That eBay regulator is obviously not the best one out there, but you answer your question, YES, it will work. If you do decide to go with the Aeromotive, they are not that bad in price. FullThrottle Speed unit is nice and good for the $. But whoever said Aeromtive costs more, is wrong. Aeromotive's are $128......

Yeah, the Aeromotives are not more expensive but running the fuel lines can be a pain and the cost of fuel lines can get up there. For purpose of ease, the FTS FPR is in my opinion the way to go. Spend the extra $$ and stay away from the Ebay one because you dont really know how well it is made. goodluck

I have to agree with these guys about staying away from the eBay specials. This is your fuel system we are talking about here. If the unit is cheaply made it could leak and cause a fire and or death.

It might not leak when you first put it on and hell it might never leak and be a great unit but then again it might leak a week, month or year down the road and catch your car on fire.

One thing all owners of modified cars should do is always carry a decent sized fire extinguisher just to be on the safe side. It’s a cheap way to protect your investment if something does go wrong with the fuel system.

As for the FTS and Aeromotive they are both good units. If you want simple to install direct bolt on, go for the FTS unit. If you don’t mind a little extra cost and running stainless braided lines then by all means go for the Aeromotive unit. Both are proven so no matter which you pick they are both good choices.

I might also add a 3rd options. The Buschur Racings BR/SX unit. It’s specially made just for DSM too and is a direct bolt on unit. However is somewhat pricey at $275 dollars but this is roughly the cost of the Aeromotive unit with needed install hardware. Plus the Buschur unit comes with a pressure gauge.

In fact I think the buschur units a tad cheaper then the fully setup Aeromotive unit once you factor in the pressure gauge and all the install hardware etc.

probably still backordered for weeks. They just got back and got my faulty one for repairs. The item is clean, and great quality though, I'd recommend it. Ebay specials are sometimes specials because the items are well..."special"....

It's a little expensive, but still a little cheaper than the Buschur. The FTS unit is probably the best bang for the buck....

That looks exactly like the COSMO or OBX Racing FPR's and none of them have 1:1.

It's cheaper to piece the parts together yourself though because all the shops charge $100 dollars for the install kit then the fuel pressure gauge is like another $25ish.

If you piece it together yourself, the fittings are liek $55~65 and the gauges is another $25ish like 99gst_racer said but yes, many shops sell it all together.

ok, im leanin towards the fullthrottle brand, 150$ for the whole thing, bolt on.

now, its got 2g, and 1g models, if im 6bolt swapped, im needing the 1g right? but whats the odds my rail is from the 2g car? is it possible? how to check what rail i have? kinda dumb question, but i need to know.



on slowboy racing, the aeromotive is 140$ plus the line kit, is 100$, it says return line.
is this the only line i need? does it hookup from the return end of the rail to the regulator, or like hte fullthrottle unit, is it PRE rail adjustments.
