I was wondering if anybody has used the aem fic for the 1g turbo to tune the car? If yes is it better than the apexi safc?

Why are you saying FIC for 1g - I don't see anything about a 1g engine swap in your profile or post. Do you mean that your turbo is a 14b from a 1g? Your engine and ecu are still the 420A?
Thanks I was just wondering what was better for tuning the car with. Because I was getting a aem fic for a good price but I already bought a apexi safcII . Thanks for your help..
ive considered a safc also that and a wideband
Good!
The new ones (the neo) are getting pretty expensive, almost as much as ECMLink. But a used one if it's cheap, might do you ok if you are only going up a little in injector size, like to 550cc. Looks like you have a 16g turbo and some other good mods. The SAFC can't change your ignition timing - that is the main drawback to it. You will wind up with ignition timing that is advanced more than it should be, when you adjust for larger injectors and/or higher fuel pressure. Basically, it's a lot better if you have a system that can remap your ignition timing (+ or - from stock for example) and logging capabilities, especially if the logging is designed specifically for DSM, so you can log from the stock knock sensor, etc.
For any DSMer interested in the AEM FIC, if you can't find out anything in DSMtuners forums, try calling Street Tuned Motorsports and see what they think. Talk to somebody there who can give you tech info - probably Emery.
They sell the AEM FIC, AEM EMS, DSM Link V3, and DSM Link V3 Lite. Those are the systems worth talking about anymore, unless you want to get into Haltech or Pro-EFI, or writing your own chips.
Or get a socketed ecu and have somebody like My1gDSM write the chip for you. That's actually the easiest way, but then you still need a way to log Air/Fuel, and knock, which is doable.
