I have been looking at aem eugo wideband. Im confused on the diffrences between the guage and the controller im not to sure of the diffrence but i would like to know before i purchase.

as for the controller im not sure what you are talking about. However you can find various retailers that sell the item. In the contents of the box it will include the guage, wiring harness, and the o2 sensor. So wherever you are seeing some sort of controller is not known to me. im currently using the EUGO Wideband and love it. It costs a little more but i recommend the AEM TRU series..

i see but their is one on extreme psi that shows like a amplifier with a usb port im guessing that connects to a laptop and then their is the one with the guage.

EXTREME PSI : Your #1 Source for In Stock Performance Parts

where would i find the tru series

The top link is so you can use the wideband sensor to data log your a/f and not have to mount the gauge in your car. The 2nd link is the gauge and sensor which you could also wire to data log your a/f.

What he's saying is the 1st link is just the sensor to hook up. It does not come with a gauge. The second link is the one you need. I run the UEGO and love it. Never have any problems and very accurate. Best gauge IMO. Some use the Innovative Wideband. You may want to look into both and see which you like more. Read reviews on both.

Correct but you are going to want the one with the gauge so you can see how rich/lean the car is running. The reason they sell it with out the gauge is some people have other wideband gauges and just want the functionality of being able to data log without buying a new gauge.

so im guessing either one it does not matter they bolth work the same way. Now with a data logger and safc i can tune it properly correct?

What size injectors do you have? an SAFC will work okay for stock to 650cc injectors, but it was jst a PITA when i had one.... I since went to ECMLink, and will never look back.

560's but its running rich as hell and im still trieng to learn everything mechanicly and electricly in cars alone and im scared to mess with the afc with out knowing what adjustments i need to make i had it tuned but not high throtlle clutch was slipping so im told. ive being looking up the forums on here and getting basic know how but still confused. will i need a data logger as well?

yes you will need a data logger otherwise that safc is worthless and you will just be guessing:nono: the price of a logger and a used safc ,about $ 250- $ 300, price of ECMLink V3 lite- about $ 400 (after socketing and shipping).... so for only about $100 more you have the best tuning equipment known to DSM's.

step1. sell the SAFC
2. sell the 560cc inj.
3. Buy ECMLink V3
4. Buy 850-1000cc injectors
5. turn up the boost and tune the car.

You need a wide band to be able to see your a/f ratio. Dsmlink and Safc are for tuning. Basically you make a change with dsmlink or safc and you drive the car see how it feels data log to check for knock and watch your wideband during the drive to be sure your car is not running lean which would lead to detonation and you ruining your motor. My best bet to you is to get Dsmlink and take it to a reputable shop in your area to tune it for your until you gain enough knowledge of the process to be able to tune it yourself.
Here is a few threads that have talked about tuners in the NC area.

I'm sure with started another thread or even a quick search you can find more. But I personally wouldn't let anyone I haven't got good feedback on tune my car. So do your research and I wish you best of luck and hope you post your results with which ever route you take.:thumb:

hey thanks for all the help my buddy is getting the car off me soon. the afc reset itself so i told him to be gentle till we can put a tune on it something other then 0's across the board. i will tell him what you all have told me and dsm link is what i will tell him to get. I heard u dont need a socketed ecu anymore for link true or false?
