1G AEM EMS output data to the diagnostic connector?

Kind of a weird question but I've never seen it asked before but if you have an EMS does it still output data to the diagnostic connector (1G)? Would it still flag the check engine light? I have a Pocketlogger and it would be a shame to loose its functionality. Sometimes it would be handier than hauling a laptop around to log. I don't have the EMS yet (it's on the way) but I'm just curious.

I have the AEM EMS on my 1g talon. I found that buying a small cheap netbook works wonders for EMS. It's a 9" laptop full keyboard and touchpad etc. Got it off woot.com for $99. Fits right into my glovebox and hides away perfect so I can lock it up. Great battery life on such a small notebook too. Thats you're best bet.

you deffently need a laptop to run aem

Because having a laptop in your lap when you are trying to drive is a little inconvenient when you a just trying to check fuel trims etc.. (I know, being responsible adults we would NEVER drive distracted would we?) Yes, I know you need a laptop for tuning but all I was wondering about was watching data real time on something a lot smaller than a laptop.

I now know that the data port is disabled so it is a moot point and the CEL gets turned into a shift light.
