I'm trying to install the aem analog wideband (#30-5130) into a friends car and was going to install in the front o2 spot and have a question.

I read on the web site that it has a 5v analog output but have read in few places that it can't simulate the narrow band signal. Am I wrong in assuming that the 5v output is all I need to be able simulate the narrow band output.

Also it has a white and brown wire, white being the 5v+ and the brown being the 5v-, the white wire would be connected to pin 76 on the ecu, but the bown confuses me. Does that go into pin 92 the sensor ground?

According to the AEM manual it doesn't do narrowband simulation. It's analog output is for datalogging. A normal NB O2 sensor has a 0-1v signal that switches it's output at 14.7:1

Gotcha, thanks. I was thinking it the 5v emulation was what it needed. I didn't know about the 1v.

is this also the same case with the aem uego controller not being able to simulate narrow band o2 sensor with link v3

There are some widebands that don't have narrow band output but I don't see how link v3 couldn't simulate the narrow band using those widebands. If you can log your wideband in the link then all you need is to use a narrow band simulator feature in the link and set your 14.7 a/f crossover voltage and the pin location of the wideband. So since you said you are replacing your stock O2 sensor with the wideband you can take advantage of that feature, it works great, some may say better then a stock O2

The uego simulates fine with or without link. I've had it both ways, before I had link I used the gauge to simulate NB and after I got link I switched it over to simulate through link instead.

yep white wire is a great bnarrow band simulation, just set the switch on back of gauge to the right setting and hook it up, the brown wire is for the aems own function IIRC

I'm not running link but I am running ceddymods. Is there a way to log it with that?
