I'm looking to purchase a 1st generation Eagle Talon TSi AWD as a daily driver but this would be my first dsm. Ive always gone with GM V8's in the past but have decided to change things up. I dont have much to spend at the moment and have narrowed it down to two different talons but wanted some advice on which would be better from somebody with some experience with them.
The first option is cheaper but isnt running properly. The second runs "perfect" but has been used as a track/cruising car. Both cars are moddified 1990 Eagle Talon TSi AWD. I think can get the first one for much lower than asking price but dont know if the difference in price would even be worth it. Any input is aprreciated, sorry for the long post.
Option 1: Asking $3000, 126k on body, bottom end and transmission are unknown
Problems: The E-brake is broken(common on ny cars), and he says it needs a tune because it bogs at mid-range when the throttle is wide open. The top end and clutch were done by the previous owner with no reciept.
Option 2: Asking $3500, 114k original miles, comes with original parts plus many extras, more mods than what are listed he just doesnt remember all of them.
Problems:used as a track car? owner says its a toy and not recommended as a daily driver.
