Actuator leak

I ran a boost leak test and found out that air is coming out from actuator, is that mean i have a bad actuator , do i need to replace it? Btw i have a 98 gst with 16g turbo

If you mean that there is air coming out from the wastegate actuator, around the actuator arm or something, I would replace it. They're pretty cheap.

How are you testing? By sound or with a bottle of soapy water when its pressurized. I actually just did this today and thought the same thing at first. Turns out it was the dipstick blowing air onto the actuator and the fitting in the piping from the piping to the MBC was lose.

i test it by presurized it then i heard the sound hissing around the actuator then i spraid with soap water and place my finger near it and i felt the air leaking out.

Replace the part where the leak is and you should be set since you know exactly where it's coming from.

Slap a lil jb weld on that till you get it replaced.
