Alright, the last decision to my full build is up. I have a built 2.4l/FP3065/Shep Stg 4 tranny setup ready to be installed. All I need is the clutch. My car will be mostly street and raced every once in a while (500whp will be tuned by the AEM EMS). I have been doing lots of reading and I think it is down to the following.

Shall I go with the ACT 2900 w/street disc and chromonoly flywheel or ACT 2900 w/sbr 4000 and chromonoly flywheel? Why. Thanks for the help:thumb:!

You better get Fidanaza flywheel over ACT it will hold more and littel bit lighter than ACT and would work better as alot of people said the chrolymoly would slip more than what fidanaza are using.

I would preffair ACT street disk over SBR 4000 and this is what Craig from SBR told me that the ACT would be better than SBR 4000.

You should put single or double washer under the pivot ball and longer slave or you would get disengagment problem

I made like 547 with the same setup but It was slipping with more than 4/5 runs with around 500 wheel hp.

You better get Devo Tune twin plate clutch, this is what the most guy highly recomanded for 500hp+ or using 6 puck disk with 2900 and have littel bit chatter

I have not heard very many good things about the fidanza flywheels:confused:. As far as the disks go, if Craig suggested to stick with the 2900 disc then I will probably do so. The Devo Tune is out of the equation due to me wanting to have mostly a "street" car, I will give up some grab in order to have slippage for the daily driving.

Mr-John Shippered in his e-mail suggested fidanza flywheel over ACT flywheel because the Chromoly isn't that good with the street or 6 puck disk, the Fidanza would grip better than ACT but ACT will last more
Fidanza lighter than ACT, both almost the same price

And I have a thread in DSMLINK forums which shows the Fidanaza material would grip more than ACT

Here is Mr-JS e-mail which shows fidanza better than ACT

The act clutch is chromoly so although it does work well with there
clutch
it is not the best for power handling. We do have a 3200 lb pressure
plate
in stock and is what I used to run. The fidanza flywheel would work
best
with it though.

The 2nd gear itself rem and cryoed would be about $150 each

The mixed oil combo is fine.

Hmm interesting. I bought a fidanza but was worried about some driveability problems.
I went with act flywheel. I have the hd 4000 combo currently flyheel and pessure plate.

I am just breaking in my car hich has same mods you mentioned..stage 3 crowers,jm fab smim,FP3065 and 2.4 engine.

I was thinking going to act 2900 or 3200 and street disc if the 4000 didn't work out.
My car likley would never see more than one or two back to back runs
at track and if it hit under 11.5 its gone. On the street just going to be staying to around 500 engine hp most of the time. Think might be able to make the odd run at 30psi without big clutch issues.See how it goes. so far so good. Pedal pressure on the hd is not too bad but its there. Chatter is already very minimal and it seems to be grabbing decently already.I have around 300 miles on 500 mile break in done.

not to go off subject but you guys mention you have 2.4's?
Are they still 4g63s with strokers, or did you use the 4g64 block?
And if so how does that work, and what all did you have to do to fab the 4g63 head
to the 2.4 block:? Were there great power increases/ torque?

Im only going for about 350 whp in my gst, and if i had to guess im a little above 200 whp right now, but never dynoed, I currently have a centerforce dual friction clutch in there, but I am going to upgrade because with my power demands It wont last long because of its hp ratings. For the hp im looking for what ( and for a everyday driver, with enough durabilty to handle good track runs of 350 to the wheels when I get to that power level ) which clutch brand, and stage clutch is recommend? Also which flywheel with that?
I have 4g63 block with 4g64 crank and stroker pistons, my friend used N/A g4cs with 4g63 6 bolt head and he only have problem with the cams sprocket and the timing belt, I think he had to put the 4g64 cam sproket with 4g64 belt but he had his way using different belt and 4g63 cam sprocket and he got the correct timing for clutch using actually I love the street disk more than 6 puck disk because of chatter so I recomanded 2600 with street disk or 2100 with 6 puck disk, if you are looking for more high hp in future 6 puck with 2600 would be great but would get littel bit chatter which can be controller by changing the way you drive, actually with my way of driving I wasn't able to tell if I have chatter with 2900 pressure and 6 puck none sprung but i might had something wrong with this clutch because after a while I slipped this clutch very badly in my Colt with 430 wheel hp and made best of time with clutch slipping 11.7

I was able to make 500 wheel hp for like 15 runs on dyno with 500 wheel hp, but I don't recomand 2900 for your need, no need to put harsh clutch at this time

I have the act 2900 with the slowboy 4000 disk, which was recommended to me by Nate at slowboy. There is no chatter at all-runs flawlessly. I think its just a preference issue since I find the clutch to be very streetable.

If I wish not to slip my 3200 with street disk and ACT flywheel, I'll only change the flywheel to fidanza and get SBR 4000 6 puck srung disk so I have less chatter and less strees on the tranny and hope I don't have chatter with 3200, I'm sure I'll have small amount of chatter because I have like 2-3 small chatter point with the street disk.

The reason I don't want to use the 6 puck ACT sprung type because the springs are very big and wrong design the springs hitting the fingers in the pressure I have two of them and didn't use them yet and looking to send them back:(

I can't blame you for not wanting the act sprung disk-It's too new and It sounds like people are having issues with it. You may or may not have chatter with the 3200/4000 fidanza combo, I'm running the 11lb steel act flywheel and don't get any chatter at all.
