Hey I just purchased a ACT 2600 with street disk from JNZ. I wanted to get a flywheel too. I was thinking ACT XACT Flywheel because it's not too light for my Daily Driver. Now I have a few questions. Should I get ANY of the following?

-Clutch fork
-Clutch ball
-Slave cylinder extension rod
-Flywheel bolts (What kind? Dimensions?!)

And anything else? Thanks, all. Tom

I would get the clutch fork, pivot ball, master cylinder, slave cylinder, ss clutch line, and new fluid. Don't get the extension rod, if everything is working properly in the system, it's not needed.

You can get all of that and new factory flywheel bolts for a really good price from http://www.jnztuning.com/catalog/

I would definitely get a clutch fork. I have seen clutches wear out in 2k if the fork is bad and not replaced. I picked one up for $60. cheap insurance! :thumb:

as i recall, the whole thing about a flywheel being too light is not a problem. there was a thread about it around here somewhere.

I agree 100%. I was stupid and got only the clutch. Had to pay for new Master and Slave on the spot w/ mechanic. Now my hydraulic line sprung a leak and I'm waiting for my SS line. Save up and get it all, not in pieces, it sux!!!

Thanks all for the advice. One more question. When I get the flywheel do I need to get it stepped or ground at all? Or can I just drop it in? Tom.

The factory bolts work perfectly with the ACT flywheels, make sure you put some red loctite on them when you're installing them. I would check the step on the flywheel before you install it, but it shouldn't need any work at all.

If the fork is bad def get a new one. Of course get new fluid, and with the ss clutch line you should be good. For some added insurance you can get a master and slave if you believe yours is failing. Its always better do it once and right, then spending money later to fix it again!!!

Offtopic, my ACT 2600 and Streetlite flywheel is gonna be installed and running once I get back home today!!!

With a 2600 I would just replaced the master/slave right away... And clutch fork for sure!
