Hello everyone. After quite some time I am starting to put my motor back together. Short story I ended up needing a new crank due to gouges on my stock crank. I have a set of standard size acl race bearings and cannot decide if I want to use them or oem bearings for main/rods. My car will be primarily for daily use. Eventually in the future I would like to end up with a 350+ hp. My main concern is longevity and reliability. I have read that the acl race bearings are usually on higher hp cars not daily driven mild set ups. Unlike the oem mitsu bearings are used on most daily drivers. I already have the acl bearings, should I buy oem bearings since it will be my daily driver? I also did a bs removal on my 6 bolt if that matters on what brand main/rod bearings to go with as far as oil pressure is concerned.

Also when I purchased my new oem mitsu crank and it was time to buy bearings I could not find any markings on the crank to indicate which standard oem bearings to order. Apparently there are a couple standard bearings as far as tolerances. Please help. Thanks.

go with oem or regular non race acl's. u need to have your crank measured in order to see what will fit it. if it is new oem... then have them order matching bearings

I have Acl Race bearings on rods and crank. I have about 20,000miles on mine and the rod bearings still look brand new. I have hundreds of passes and did drive it to work every day. You will be fine with the race bearings you already have.

You can take the crank to get it measured to see if it is still .std size.
