My accelerator is stuck in the out position. My car starts and runs perfectly fine but I just can't press in the pedal. I can move the throttle from the engine bay and get it to rev up still though. The problem originated from my battery arcing onto my strut bar and hitting who knows what. If anyone has any ideas on what I can check or do to fix this it would be great. The car was functioning fine until the arc. Thanks.

The throttle cable is all a mechanical fixture, Your battery arching on your strut tower bar would not stop you pedal from working. Unless the arching burnt the throttle cable into two pieces, Look under the dash you will see where the cable clips into the pedal there should be a yellow plastic clip holding it in place. Pull the cable and see if it falls apart or not and go from there.

The cable will not pull, hence the pedal not being able to be pressed. My guess is starting to be that the battery arced and melted the cable to something which is why it wont move. But I was hoping for some ideas where.

Again the throttle body is fine, I'm able to rev the engine with the cable at it manually.
