So this car had nothing, put new AC condenser lines, dryer, filter, belt tensioner, AC pressure switch. Found the hacked compressor wires that were on the other side of the car and made nice new wires with the proper connectors and all, spal condenser fan the works
The part stores kept sending me the wrong compressor so a used one was used.
I was an AC newbie, tried to vacuum the system but the manifold I bought had the wrong connectors. I got desperate for cold air because I’m down two vehicles right now (my 2017 Chevy caught fire when my insurance was on the Eclipse and some asshole rear ended my Audi car it’s sitting at the body shop I don’t have rental cover and the piece of shit that hit me won’t call his insurance so I can’t get a rental and I have to sue him) and have 2 kids. It’s f***ing hot
So I got pissed and the one thing that would attach to the low side was one of those part store add Freon shits. Well I added some Freon and then and volia, COLD AIR really COLD AIR!
I’ve learned a lot since then and now I realize I had air mixed with my Freon also the shit I was buying had stop leak f****
Anyways all in the low side was in the green on the Shit gauge like 50 psi the high side of the green I put like 18-26 oz garunteed with in that range (plus the air in the system didn’t vacuum)
****so anyways it was all good for about a week ***

Then it wasn’t as hot one day and it stopped working
Now I realize at the time maybe my evap coil froze due to low ambient temps and shut off.
But I panicked, so since then I ordered ANOTHER AC compressor (i have a full collection now )
Then I vacuumed the system no air was let in, vacuum down to -30. I add Freon no stop leak this time. It takes one 12 OZ can. I turn the AC compressor on trying to add a second can nothing.
After some learning I check and my AC clutch isn’t engaging. Then after more learning I jumped the AC switch a bunch of times, no compressor clutch still. Then I jumped the the AC compressor relay, still no AC clutch engagement.
New AC compressor arrived today and of course it’s not the right one for my car again.
But now I was playing with my test light and there is no power at the G-O wire for the AC switch so now I am concerned and have no idea what to do next. Is my AC control module bad now in addition to my compressor clutch?
Also can someone please recommend an AC compressor for a 96 AWD
And it goes with out saying someone please help my girls were happy we had nice cold AC and then I tinted the rear glass again I don’t want it to get hot again it’s F**** up
