AC Leak at the Evaporator.

Hi guys i have a 95 GSX.. i tried to get my ac fixed but the mechanic and myself cannot figure out why the AC is leaking at the evaporator (behind the battery poking out of the firewall) where the two lines bolt on.. we replaced the o rings.. no luck.. then tried using larger o rings to help it seal better.. no luck... i then bought new ac lines and hooked them up.. and no luck..

The mechanic said he has never seen a leak at that spot.. Is it possible that there is a hairline crack in the evaporator?

before I rip it out and buy a new one, I was hoping someone may have had a similar problem and a solution..

Just a thought, but why not try sealing it? say it does have a crack, im sure copper spray or even jb weld will seal it right up. And if you have to pull the evaporator housing that sheet sucks

I'm concernd that if an ac line isn't sealed metal to medal it won't seal... Don't know if that is the right school of thought or not..

Very common place to leak actually. If you have green ac dye coming out from where you described it likely is an evaporator if you already tired new seals.
