I was woundering at what hp the trans starts slipping. ive heard 325 crank hp. and what phisically slips in the transmission? is it the torque converter? and last, how do i know when it is slipping? Im making some great power with my setup, (check my mods) and i think it is slipping. any help would be awsome!

Depends on how beat up your transmission is. 50k miles, or 150k miles on the odo?
This question is asked frequently and there is never a straight answer. Why? Because every car is different nd nobody can tell you what will happen to your trans.
What you can do is take precautions to avoid premature failure:
trans cooler, synth fluid, regular fluid and filter change, no neutral drops.

Keep making big power, drive it until it breaks, then call IPT :D

There is no set horsepower where a trans will start slipping, there are too many variables.

I've rebuilt literally thousands of transmissions for stock cars in my lifetime- horsepower wasn't the issue, things just go bad sometimes.

Normally, when a trans starts slipping from excessive power, the problem will begin as a flare, slip or any type of elongated shift under heavy throttle and the condition will worsen over time. This will be especially noticeable on the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts.
