My car decided it hated me today i was far from home with no cell phone and my trans took a dump. It was fine 2 days ago started slipping a little during cruise and taking off from a light. Then today i made it almost all the way to work and it started slipping real bad then nothing just neutral. I let the car cool down for 10 min and it drove ok for about another mile and started slipping again. Now the car is sitting in a parking lot and will not drive i pulled the cooler lines and nothing comes out of them in drive. When i first start it it will move then it just starts slipping again.
I have now pulled the pan to find ATF with shavings in it and 2 small chunks off steel nothing real important looking. Now i took the filter and ran some solvent thru it and it did not seem clogged but for some reason the pump is not pumping?
Now mind you this trans was perfect 2 days ago. It has fresh fluid and no leaks and i tried all this with the tcu unplugged so its not the tcu.

. These things happen as I'm sure you're already acustomed to. The problem with A/T's is they are SUPER sensitive to specific operating conditions. I have actually seen instances where even using the wrong fluid burnt up the reverse band, clogged up the 2-3 port in the valve body, and started to take a toll on the crescent pump in about 5 days.
