A little help fuel......

Hey guys real simple I think. When you have ecmlink and u have the stock boost gauge set to a/f ratio... What is going on if its not moving up or down? Does that mean am getting no gas. Does the mean the o2 isn't working? Just trying to figure something out

Get a wideband o2 to know your a/f ratios. I wouldn't trust using the stock boost gauge for a/f ratios.

Yeah, wouldn't bother with that. All you'll be getting in a narrowband reading; which is not very accurate. I'd snag a wideband 02, and leave the stock boost gauge to do its thing.

Guys really???? I tell you man this placed changed since I first signed up. Thank you for the post but if your not going to answer my question then just don't post please. What is the dead needle for the stock boost gauge while acting as a a/f in ecmlink telling me when it's stuck on the bottom. That was basically my question. I have a wideband and blah blah blah. What does that needle tell me??? Don't tell me what I should and shouldn't do just answer the question at hand

It's telling you an unreliable A/F reading. It could be right it could be wrong, point is, it's not accurate enough for it to tell you anything really.

This is the correct answer. The answer to your question may not be what you want to hear, but it doesn't mean it's wrong/bad. If you have a wideband rely on that for your readings, if your boost guage isn't working maybe there is something wrong with the guage and not your 02's.

How does this not help you answer your question? He's telling you that its unreliable and you should get an alternative method of monitoring a/f and that chances are the information you're getting from the stock unit is incorrect..... so why not use a more reliable method of obtaining information such as a wideband.

And if you say you have a wideband, then why would you want to set the stock boost gauge for a/f ratios anyways?

Sorry guys one person gave me the answer I was looking for and I missed it well was half the answer. It's a narrowband reading but I was trying to trace something unexplainable in words so instead I asked what I asked. I wanted to know the inside and out of ecmlink so I determined that it was right going straight to the source.. Tom was very helpful . Yes it does show a almost non useable stat but I wanted to now how and why.
