A few things

Well i just bought me a 1995 gsx for 1,500, its black with all the options it has 130,000 miles with a rebuilt engine turbo and tranny, i havent had any problems with it. but i got a few things i wanna do and a few problems.


1 when my car is idleing there is a little bit of a knock. i was wonder what that could be.

2 exhaust i wanna put a full exhaust on my car and was wondering what would give me a nice deep sound to it

3 intake whats a good one and were is the best place to place it

4 blow off valve- i have always been a big fan of these and wanna take of my withdrawl system and put that on and was wondering what a good one is and whats the positives and negatives to them are

5 boost controller what a good one and whats the max i can put it to

6 injectors -give me some suggestions

7 sub box i currently had a custom box made with an eclipse titanium 12" into the back and am hitting 147.6 db and was wondering if anyone has got anything louder and what they have

8 easy mods that are easy to install give some suggestions

9 thank you for your time i hope to be a contributing memeber to these forums with the more i learn about my car

Well to answer some of your questions,
2. I have the Apexi 3in downpipe and catback, its really deep and not loud at all.

3. There are many vendors on this site that have intakes. FP, Dejon Tool, Extreme Psi, ect. A intake is basically a intake wichever one you choose make sure you get a K&N filter with it as well.

4. As for you BOV if you want to vent to the atmosphere you'll have to get a MAF-T wich consists of a GM maf sensor and a Maf Translator, you can pick these up in the classifieds or I think that Slowboy Racing has them on special right now. For the Bov you can switch to the 1G, it can hold over 20psi after being crushed and I've heard more then 25 with the dodge garage mod. You could also get the Greddy type S or HKS if you like the high pitch noise.

5. For a boost controller you can choose to go electronic or manual. I have the Joe P manual boost controller and I really can't complain at all. You can turn your boost up a little but the 2g bov is known to leak and you shouldn't go to high without supporting fuel mods.

6. Injectors all depend on what your goals are for the car, i.e. Big 16g 550's should suffice.

7. not really into sound systems so i'll let someone else help.

8. As DSMcamaro posted earlier there is a tech guide on this site that has free mods for us cheap bastards
