i'm currently having a few probs with my 90 fwd tsi 5spd, one is my 02 volts on my datalogger seem to stay at .94-.96 during idle and cruise, it doesnt cycle, very rarely have i seen it cycle recently. a month ago it was cycling fine. my other prob is while driving the car will accelerate on its own like if i'm driving normally down the rode and let off of the throttle the rpms will stay up almost like having cruise control on..(its not on) or between shifts the rpms will stay up they wont drop and my foot isnt even back on the gas yet.(one thing i think it might have to do with is the throttle cable goes into the cruise box on the 90 talon and it stretches it somewhat for the uicp to fit in there) but then sometimes it will drive normal and not even have that problem.
its just weird a month ago i had none of these symptoms, ive been searching but havent found much, i still want to check for boost leaks, it boosts 18psi steadily thats what ive had it set to for a good while but in the higher rpms 5k-up it seems rather choppy the boost falls and acceleration is choppy. another note, when i 1st start the car with a cold engine or after its been sitting for few hrs. the vacumm moves around a bit between 20-10 hg, then settles back at 20-21 maybe 30 secs later. if anyone could offer some insight to any of the problems it would be greatly appreciated. thanx john
car has 132k, new head, stock bottom end, s16g, 190lph rewired, 650inj,3.5in gm maf-t blow-thru v2.01, hard upper uicp,stock bypass valve vented, hard turbo inlet pipe, joe p 2.5 tubular o2 housing w/ dump. 3 inch turbo back, no cat. emissions delete. rre-catch can, alamo sidemount intercooler
