Couple driveability issues?

After I installed my 3 inch exhaust I have started having problems with going full throttle. Once you get higher in the rpms say like after 5 grand it will what feels like hit a wall and almost sound like it backfires. I'm thinking I'm hitting fuel cut but I still am running the stock turbo and stock boost. I have only the exhaust, intake and blow off valve mods. Also around that time my clutch started slipping under full throttle for about two weeks and now it seems to be fine. The clutch peddle has always felt a little too soft for me but its weird that it was slipping and now its not. Any other input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Is your fuel pump any good? Did you do a BLT yet?

boost leak or vaccume leak can cause the sputter popping and loss of power and easy to test

No I haven't done a boost leak test just because it didn't have a problem before I changed the exhaust. I have the stuff to do the test so I will have to do that over the weekend but I have a feeling that won't be the problem. Its worth checking though to at least rule that out.

Boost leak most likely...

Sometimes they will show up randomly. It probably has nothing to do with your exhaust.

When you do the test, BE THOROUGH!!! Make sure you can hold 14 psi for 30 seconds or so when you are running the test.
