Well, I fixed my oil pressure sensor with a new one. and i'm getting AMAZING oil pressure :)!


But some new problems have arised.

1)My alternator voltage once the car warms up can really jump around.. for about a hour of driving it will sit at 14.5vs steady.. then after a hour it's highest is 13.9 and lowest 12.1 and just usally jobs around but not too crazy. holds in the 13.4-13.6 averagely.

2) when boosting*20g* I'll be pulling up to 15 psi.. she will hold ROCK SOLID. then she drops to 10-11 psi and holds solid there and doesn't move? I've checked ALL my piping.. did a boost leak test and everything, yet there is nothing, Could my turbo be on the way out the door? This isn't a all the time thing either? it seems to only happen when my narrowband goes to lean.

3) My data logger is picking up that i'm getting 26 counts of knock MAX when boosting.. Now the car IS running RICHER then hell.. i got a Lc-1+ kit on the way for this week. But would this be rich knock? also there is no "Goo" on the knock sensor it's new.


ALL MODS ARE LISTED IN PROFILE, Compression*hot* is 157-157-158-157.
 
Could be phantom knock, or a wiring issue, narrowband cant help you there, do a boost leak test.

Already did.. But why would it only do this time to time? Holds boost at 15psi no problem and then today blame.. doesn't like it. and it feels like it's falling on it's face:ohdamn:
 
I think your voltage jumping is normal. You probably have a stock alternator and or battery and being old it will hold a charge inconsistently and charge inconsistently
 
Alternator is going off.

Fist check and clean all your connections. (Terminals, at the battery, transmission and firewall).

If you can sand really nice that area where the terminal are attached, that will make everything so easy.

If your jumping voltage doesn't stop after cleaning all the terminals, Then Your Alternator is not making any good to your car.

The Voltage will make your car to act funny, so, first, you should fix your Jumping Voltage problem before going to the others issues.
 
Check the exhaust side of the turbo for leaks. I had a small one that had similar results. It would hit 18psi and fall and hold 13. It was a small leak on the exhaust manifold. And it sounds like your alternator might be starting to go. Get a new one of good quality. I got a 90 amp from autopartstomorrow.com. Great deal and bolted right in.
 
i have a parts talon with a 90amp in it that was working great before the valves burnt up :)
 
Anyone have a idea. on the boost issue.. And also, Does anyone have a wiring diagram to just from from alternator to battery? to by pass the stock harness*thinking a wire is messed in there*
 
the alt wire goes from the alternator around the back of the motor up to the fuse panel over by fender. There is a 80 Amp or so fuse in there. I beleive its bolted in....Not positive. From there it goes to the batt.
 
I'm thinking i have some small electrical problems.. because when the battery goes low then high my headlights turn on and i can't turn them off inless i restart the car*turn it off then on*

Well found out my boost problem i'm sure.. It was a loose 02 housing.
