A/C discharge

Here in the repair manual it says to take your car to a dealer or mechanic and have them discharge your A/C before you remove your engine. The thing is, my car isn't running and I can't get it to someone to discharge it. So what should I do?

the ghetto way is simply to crack a line and allow the freon to escape to the atmosphere . But you will have to pull a vacuum on the system if you want to recharge it

DO NOT DO THAT, YOU GET CAUGHT YOU GET IN BIG TROUBLE. Anyways you do no have to remove your ac to pull the motor just unbolt the compressor and bungee it up to the firewall.

^^ is right. You can disconnect the AC from the engine and tie it out of the way and remove the engine without ever having to disconnect the AC lines from the compressor.

yeah sorry i forgot to mention that it was illegal i was also going to ask why you were removing your ac.
