I've recently put my eclipse on the road and it has develpoed a oil leak... it's all ove the rear of the block, I'm thinking valve cover gasket or something along those lines cause it's on the IM as well so I'm not concerned about the head or head gasket. It has been cam'd so it could be cam seals as well. neeless to say I'm gonna tear it apart before i put it up in a few weeks for winter and being new to the DSM's, are there any trouble spots I should attack while it's in the air? Rear main seal, belts, drive accesories.. basically anything the like to jack at about 110K miles.

Thanks~

Yeah, hopefully it's the valve cover. If not, then you'll have the oh-so-wonderful job of hunting it down. Might also be the oil cap if the rubber there is really old and not sealing correctly. Might as get your belts done a little early because 120k (timing belt) isn't too far away. :thumb:

I agree its more than likely the valve cover gasket. The camshaft seals were changed when the cams were out(if the guy that did the job was smart). The oil cap gasket gets hard and brittle and starts to leak also. I would change the valve cover gasket and oil cap.
Very common problem with mileage
