99 gsx sputter

my car is sputtering once it gets to 5psi im thinking my cheap ebay bov is the cause any idea

Could be it. Is your car stock? Have you done a blt?

it has godspeed fmic. cheap ebay bov. and stock intake with a k&n air filter. all was on it when i bought it

The most probable causes are a boost leak or old spark plugs/wires. If you're in need of a boost leak tester, I highly recommend siliconintakes.com leak testers. Comes with coupler, clamps, and it doesn't leak or pop off under high pressure.

If your wires are old, grab some new ngk wires:

Note: These are technically for 1g's. Only difference is they are cheaper and slightly longer by an inch or so

Might as well pick up some ngk bpr6es plugs while your at it and gap them to around .028" or a little lower.
