99 gsx problems

ok i bought this car as a project but it has been nothing but a problem when i bought it it was blowen up but for 900 bucks i could not pass it up well my buddy had a 1g tslon motor laying around so i got it off of him started out with new mains,rods,timeing belts, water pump,and all top end gaskets well we took 2 day and cleaned everything up and droped it in the car checking and rechecking everything before we pulled it out took it out and ran into intercooler pipeing blowing off brought it home fixed that the 2nd night highway test throw a rod through the block like gone i can not find it what the #### is the problem and can i fit an evo 8-9 motor and trans in my car and it work right please help

-You can not put the evo 8-9 engine and trans in your car(unless you spend lots and lots of money on fabrication).

-The other part I don't know. Shit happens.
