So I messed up here. I went to install power wire for my subs, and I guess I hit some wires in the process. I went into the grommet on the passengers side where a lot of wires go. I think I hit a wire for my idle air control censor as well as my wipers. I was driving the car for a few months with no wipers but I got tired of it, got a back up car and the talons now under repair. Now I have a few options. I can try to find a replacement wire pack from someone parting out their car, or take things off my car in the engine bay until I can get to the wires and repair them. I have already replaced my wiper motor and switch with working ones from a scrap car I had. Also I looked at all fuses.

Anybody have experience replacing these wires, or know the process of what I need to remove to get to them? I'm still low experienced to working on cars, but as long as I can get a tool around it, and I don't have to pull the engine, I should be fine.

you should be good by just pulling the battery, and the battery tray if its in your way. if you don't already have a copy of the service manual, here is a link 97-99_2g_EBC+Electrical_manual

Ah, thanks for the advice. Was simple enough and I found the issue. Shouldent be too big of a job to repair. looks nasty, but there's only a few that where fully split.
I have like no wire repairing experience, so I guess it good practice eh?

that doesn't look too bad. a little solder and some good heat shrink and you'll be good. i bought some 3m 4:1 adhesive lined heat shrink from here for $4 per 4ft piece. its good stuff for under the hood.
then to wrap the harness back up, use a self-fusing tape or tesa 51036 tape

I got some liquid tape, solder and I'm almost done with it. Tested it first and it's mint. Wipers are working. I'm going to replace my idle air control censor and I need a new TPS as well. But that's easy.

Now the one thing I'm on the fence about. Clutch bad. 450$ for a shop to replace it, or is it not so bad to do myself? I was reading up on it here, and it's lengthy but that's 450$ I can spend on boost parts.

LOL here's my checklist now

normally its not that bad to do, but your in MI so you probably have siezed suspension bolts from road salt. Its pretty easy to break off bolts and destroy threads when they are corroded, so it might be worth the money to take it to a shop and let them deal with it.

vfaq.com has a how to guide here.

Yeah your right on that one. I attempted it and id have to do a lot of torching to the bolt to get it off. and somehow one is on backwards getting blocked by the sway bar.... Plus there was a lot of flexing some parts when i was tugging at the bolt. weak metal i suppose so Im gona add that to the potential things that are gona kill me list.
