repairing 98 talon

i've recently purchased my old 98 eagle talon tsi that i traded for an srt-4. the car runs and i drove it back to sc from augusta ga. when i sold it i had a super afc controlling my fuel, that is no longer in the car. what still is in the car is my 550 rc cc injectors, upgraded greddy front mount intercooler with piping and blow off valve, apex n1 exhaust and 255 walboro fuel pump. fuel pressure gauge says that its about 43 to 45 psi. the problem that im having is the car at idle jumps up and down an rpm and i believe it has to be the throttle position sensor. also when i get on it, it feels like a lag and a bog at the same time, but if i release the throttle and pick up speed the car feels fine but it isnt much fun. my question is do i need to remove my 550 cc injectors because this may be causing the problem or could the tps sensor be causing this? im a family man and dont have much time to mess with it but i would like to get this car fixed for maybe a daily driven car or weekend car. help me solve this issue because it just seems funny to me.

You already know the answer to this. Yes, either swap them back to stock or get something to tune those injectors with.

ok i figured just wanted to be safe by asking. what about the jump in idle?
to bad my first gen injectors wont work on my 2nd gen.

Why wouldn't your first gen injectors work on your second gen?

Get the fueling in order first, then if the idle issue persists we'll try to troubleshoot that later. Improper fuel delivery can play havoc on how the ECU attempts to control idle speed.

The 1G injectors should have the same harness connectors, if they don't then you probably don't have the same 550s that you installed.

thank you. i went outside to loosen up one of the bolts and the bolt snapped. i looked down under there and realized that some idiot forgot to put the spacers between the fuel rail and the head and on top of that it seems like they put lock tight on the bolt. that might be the reason why it snapped. not good. dont know what to do now. the injector harness appeared to look different. the injector plug is the same.

this isn't my work. this head was off since i last had it.

i also see on the bottom of the injectors instead of orings they used silicone

At that point i would just get a new intake manifold and start over. They can be had at a junkyard for fairly cheap.

You can also try to use an easy out for the broken bolt, but if they put locktite on them its probably not worth the time.

i knew when i purchased the car there would be minor issues. the junk yards in my area dont usually carry these cars, more trucks and 350s. maybe i could find one here for a fair price or maybe i might have a friend with a spare one. thank you for your input.

its going to be a pain to try to get this intake off with out taking off the head.
